Download all tiles in one ZIP, or save them individually. File numbers follow left-to-right, top-to-bottom order.
Tiles use your original image pixels without resizing. PNG output is lossless; JPG re-encodes the image at your selected quality. Pixel dimensions can differ by one pixel when a split does not divide evenly.
Yes. Choose Carousel for a single row of connected slices. This keeps the whole image; it does not automatically crop or resize slices to a social platform’s post dimensions.
Our file numbers describe image position, left to right and top to bottom. A carousel generally follows that order. Profile mosaics may need reverse posting order depending on the platform; check its current layout before posting.
No. Selecting a file reads it locally in your browser. Splitting and exporting happen on your device. Example images are downloaded from this website.
Download all tiles, then open the ZIP in your phone’s Files app to extract the images. You can also open individual tiles and download them one at a time.
An image splitter divides one picture into separate files. Use a grid for tiles, a horizontal strip for a connected carousel, or a vertical strip to break a tall image into sections. The editor keeps the whole composition; it does not automatically crop every piece into a square.
A 2 × 3 layout means two rows and three columns. A 1536 × 1024 image produces six 512 × 512 tiles. Different source proportions produce different tile proportions.
Carousel mode creates one row of connected slices. It does not add overlap or resize slices to a platform-specific post size. Crop or change the aspect ratio first when a specific shape matters.
The ZIP contains numbered files ordered left to right, top to bottom. Preview lines and numbers are not written into the exported tiles. These numbers describe positions, not guaranteed posting order on every platform.
Keep faces and important text away from cutting lines. For odd pixel dimensions, neighboring tiles can differ by one pixel so no source pixels are lost. PNG preserves the decoded tile pixels; JPG re-encodes them. For a fixed shape, use Crop image; for smaller pixel dimensions, use Resize image.
